As you may have already know, Nokia has rolled out a minor update for Ovi Maps Beta for mobile with lot of tweaks here and there to improve the stability and fix a number of installation problems.

Ovi Maps Beta v3.04 improves positioning speed and accuracy, brings faster Map with faster speed and Improved search for cities with zoom out to city level.

Just a quick note to inform you that Nokia Software Updater just got another minor update without chnage log or any sign of radical changes but it is anyway highly suggestible to get it!

Software update is the very sensitive process that could result with a dead phone, AKA ‘brick issue’ and therefore, you must make sure that you that you have latest software updater version.

The process of updating firmware is serious work; hence any disruption during the process of downloading and flashing could result in permanent damage to the device that can on… .. .

Just want to give everyone a quick heads up that latest firmware update (v31.xxx to v33.xxx) for Nokia’s most compact messaging device, the Nokia E55 is now available for most of the generic product codes as FOTA update ‘Firmware Over The Air’ (4MB) and is expected to be available through the Nokia Software Updater as well.

Unfortunately detailed change log is not available at the moment but as you would imagine, the firmware update is always recommended because it usually improves the performance and reliability!

Nokia E55 has the UDP but it is anyway highly suggestible to back up your phone memory before performing a firmware update just as precaution measure in case some… .. .
